Pipe and Drain Tech’s General Pricing Examples

Plumbing/Drainage work such as the laying, installation, alteration, repair or replacement

of pipes to sewer or storm water system. Unblocking sewerage, storm water pipes, kitchen sinks etc…  

are the basic areas we specialise in.

Call out fee: we don’t charge to call out.

However; call-out fee for a plumber/Drainer is a charge that covers their visit to your home.

This is generally a fixed price but varies pending where you’re situated. It covers the time

to come to your home and assess the situation. The average call-out charge ranges from $80 to $130.   

Pipe and Drain Tech does not charge a call out fee and no charge for assessment.

Our typical job costs

We give a pretty good idea of total costs from the beginning eliminating unpleasant surprises.

All jobs we attend to differ in many ways, as a rough estimate, you might expect to pay

around $200 for unblocking a drain; However, this could easily climb if there’s unforeseen

issues but you will be made aware if the situation arises – not after the work is done.

Costs of unblocking drains vary depending on the severity of the blockage and whether

is during normal or after hours. Our prices depend on the task. Simple unblocking a

drain or toilet repair will definitely cost you less than repairing major plumbing

problems that require digging:

Unblocking a minor drain                     $ 180 – $ 240

Unblocking a sewerage line                  $ 290 – $ 400

Unblocking a toilet                                   $ 200 – $ 240

Drain Camera

Specialised tools such as Drain Camera and materials to carry out the work 

one can expect to pay extra.

Cost of Drain Camera inspection vary according to number of entries to carry

out a thorough inspection, for instance if going through one entry of a storm water

drainage system doesn’t obtain the proper diagnoses. In most cases it’s just a total waste of money.

Excavator and Concrete saw- used where applicable and included in quotation.

For more complex jobs like excavation to replace/repair sewer pipes, storm

water and drainage system our own excavator is used and a detailed quotation is given.
